UN FILM DE HANS CHRISTOPH VON BOCK
El Anillo de Wagner llega al Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires de la mano de la bisnieta del compositor, Katharina Wagner. Es un caótico intento de realizar una producción de 7 horas del ciclo completo del Anillo, que finalmente se representaría en noviembre de 2012 en el Teatro Colón. Invitado por Katharina, el director Hans Christoph von Bock documenta este proceso a través de un documental libre, sin puntos de vista, dejando que el elenco y el teatro hablen por sí mismos sobre sus triunfos y miedos, en una producción arriesgada que podía terminar en éxito o en desastre.
El drama musical se centra en la Argentina de los años 70, durante el gobierno de la Junta Militar, identificando el «anillo de oro del Rhin» con los niños robados en aquella época en Argentina.
Wagner’s Ring arrives in Buenos Aires Teatro Colón, with the grand-grand daughter of the composer, Katharina Wagner. In a caotic effort to make a 7-hour production of the complete cycle, finally it was performed at the Colón Theatre in November 2012. Invited by Katherina, the film director, Hans Christoph von Bock make a free ideological documentary, without «points of view», letting the performers and the theatre to speak by themselves about their success and their fears, in a risky production that could have ended in success or a disaster.
The musical drama is centered in the Seventies in Argentina, during the polemic Military Government, identifying the Gold Rhin Ring with the stolen children during that time in Argentina.
