Este proyecto musical nace de una colaboración entre estos músicos, solistas de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga. Estos maestros interpretarán dos suites del francés Claude Bolling, reconocido pianista, arreglista y compositor, nacido en Cannes en 1930. La gran actividad musical de Bolling incluye bandas sonoras originales y música de concierto. Sus obras son especialmente interpretadas en Estados Unidos, donde ha obtenido un Disco de Platino por algunas de sus obras, incluidas las suites de este programa.
La Suite que incluye el violoncello está dedicada al prestigioso artista Yo Yo Ma. La que incluye la flauta travesera es la que dedicó al gran flautista Jean-Pierre Rampal.
This musical project starts with the cooperation of these musicians, soloists of OFM Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra. They will perform two Jazz Suites of Claude Bolling, prestigious pianist, arranger and composer born in Cannes, France, in 1930. His great musical activity includes original soundtracks and concert music. His works are specially appreciated in the United States, where he was awarded with the Platinum Disc, for some of his works, including the suites being performed in this concert.
The suite including the violoncello is dedicated to Yo Yo Ma. The suite including the flute is dedicated to Jean-Pierre Rampal.
